तुलसी वाणी – जीवन का सार

अल्प समय जीवन का, क्यों इतना सोच मचाओ,
बाल्य गया खेल-खेल में, यौवन में सोते जाओ।
बुढ़ापा आया अब सोचो, क्या पाया, क्या खोया,
वंश-वृक्ष की छाया में, समाज को फूल खिलाओ॥

काव्य अनंत, छंद अनगिन, राग रसों से भरे,
पर रस वही जो दिल में उतरे, और अमृत जैसे धरे।
विद्या वही जो हृदय छुए, न केवल ताली पाए,
श्रोता की समझ के अनुसार, शब्द और सुर सजाए॥

शास्त्र समुद्र अपार हैं, वेदों का अंत न जाना,
वाणी भी बहु मार्ग चले, पर मन का लक्ष्य पहचाना।
जिनको ज्वाला जलानी है, वे राम-नाम गुनगाएं,
जिनको बस खोना है जीवन, वे मोह-राग गाएं॥

अंत में तुलसी कह गए, एक ही बात सुनाओ,
जन्म सुधरना चाहो यदि, राम-नाम जग गुनगाओ।
सत्य-अहिंसा की मुहर लगी, सीता-राम की अंगूठी,
भूत-पिशाच न पास आएं, हो मन में प्रेम की मूठी॥

Life is short, why waste in endless thought,
Childhood passed in play, youth in dreams unwrought.
Old age now asks — what gained, what lost?
Plant trees of virtue, whatever the cost.

Poetry is endless, music boundless and sweet,
But the song must touch the heart, not just the feet.
Knowledge is nothing if it leaves no flame,
Speak in the listener’s tongue, that is the aim.

The scriptures are oceans, no shore to find,
Words are many — but choose the right kind.
Those who seek the burning light of the soul,
Sing the Name of Rama, make that the goal.

And Tulsidas ends with a truth so clear:
If you wish to make your birth sincere,
Wear the ring of Sita-Rama’s grace,
And no ghost of fear will dare your space.
